A WET AND WINDY SATURDAY
When the weather is as horrible outside as it is today if you’re anything like me you’ll find it incredibly hard to even find the enthusiasm to get out of bed let alone feel motivated to be productive or socialise. The winter blues can creep up on us and before we know it we’re finding it hard to function in daily life. Being aware of how the weather can impact on your mood and having a few tricks up your sleeve to help combat this effect can help you get through the seasons with a smile on your face. One mini tactic of mine is to try to arrange my weekends with a later start time than usual, that way if I’m finding it hard to get out of bed in the morning it doesn’t impact on things planned for the rest of that day. Be kind to yourself, acknowledge why you’re feeling unmotivated as opposed to beating yourself up about not being ready to take on the world. What tactics will you try this winter?
